Robert E. Blakemore Ill brings over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry to Mutual of Omaha Bank. Bob oversees brokerage, fiduciary services, investment management, employee benefits and insurance services. In addition, he designs and implements investment strategies governing the portfolio management process for client accounts.
After graduating from Washington State University with a degree in Economics, Bob started an airline as his first business venture. The all-cargo airline carried freight to destinations primarily in the Pacific Northwest and southern Canada. When the airline was sold in 1978, it was the nation's sixth largest commuter cargo carrier. Born and raised on a farm in eastern Washington, Bob has also owned an agricultural implement dealership selling farm machinery, a Building construction business and an electronics firm specializing in monitoring circle irrigations systems.
Bob's first stop in the world of high finance was at Merrill Lynch, where he served as one of the firm's financial consultants. His interest in the financial markets drove him to the future trading pits in Chicago and Kansas City. From there, Bob moved on to money management firms, and eventually moved to Arizona to become the chief investment strategist for Chase Bank of Arizona. Click here to RSVP
